LAND GRABBING: A LESSON FROM LANGATA ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Today as I was travelling on Langata Road. I passed Lanagata Primary School and I could not fail to notice a big notice board written on it in black and white that " THIS LAND BELONGS TO LANGATA ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL -Nairobi County,(which has just been erected). Well, this words seem very easy to read and understand, but one thing is for sure these is the fruit of children who defended a piece of land that did not belong to them individually, their parents or someone they know. But they defended the land against land grabbers for the future generation, the future children and students of Kenya who will one day play on that playing field.
This reminds us of all great Kenyan groups such as the Mau Mau, Kapenguria Six, The Green Belt Movement etc.who fought hard for our freedom and some of the rights we enjoy today. This should be the spirit in each Kenyan. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE
